Young mermaid Targe, a powerful water elemental, inhabitant of the ocean depths and also the heir owner of the Polish «Novak Shipping Company», is to listen one evening to her mother's story about a little mermaid named Bel, who, upon growing up, found her true name Sibellen. She had the opportunity to undertake many journeys, marry and give birth to sons, only to lose them later, ascend to the throne of the kingdom of the sirens of Oceanus, fall in love with an Atlantean, and finally attempt to put an end to the senseless feud between two underwater peoples. But what does all this have to do with Targe? The answer turns out to be so incredible that the girl cannot bring herself to believe it. However, she has no choice but to accept reality and act according to the circumstances…
