Pies with the Taste of Crime

In the small town of Willow-Brook, known for its annual culinary festival, the local bakery “Sweet Dreams” is preparing for a competition for the best baked goods. But the celebration is overshadowed by a terrible event – someone has attempted... to kill culinary critic Glenn Rafferty, an avid hater of all kinds of pastries, especially blackberry tarts, which are masterfully made by the bakery owner. Good-natured and a bit clumsy Mary finds herself at the center of the investigation – as a villain has stuffed a blackberry tart into the mouth of the unconscious critic! And Mary must unravel the mystery of the assassination attempt to clear her name and save her beloved shop. With the help of her friends, including a mischievous yet loyal cat named Muffin and a neighbor who is an ardent lover of detective stories, Mary begins to unravel the tangled web of intrigue, finding not only recipes but also potential suspects on every page of the cookbooks.
