A nighttime call disrupts the quiet evening of a young resident at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Aitor Inchaurraga. He finds himself the only available expert at this late hour. A man's body has been found on the Windcrest off... the coast of San Sebastián. But due to the intensifying storm, the police have less and less time to examine the crime scene.
Inspector Echeverría quite aggressively insists that what happened is just an accident. Other than obvious bruises and abrasions from being in rough seas, there are no injuries on the corpse. Yet something is troubling Aitor. His suspicions are confirmed when he notices a strange spine, resembling a fish bone, in the deceased's body.
Teaming up with veteran police officer Jaume Otamendi and marine biologist Eva San Pedro, Aitor begins his own investigation. Throughout the night, as the hands of the clock relentlessly move and a storm called galerna rages in the streets, they must unravel a chain of brutal murders…
