Hello, Sadness!

Françoise Sagan was called the Mademoiselle Chanel of literature. Starting with her very first novel "Hello, Sadness!" which made quite a stir, her writing career developed brilliantly, as she created book after book with astonishing ease; they were translated into various languages and flew around the world in millions of copies, bringing joy to new generations of readers. "Hello, Sadness!" is an amazingly sunny, youthful, elegant book, written by Sagan at the age of nineteen. It is a story of love and unlove, narrating how frivolous games with feelings end in a cruel finale.
In 2024, the world premiere of the film "Hello, Sadness!" took place (the main roles were played by Chloë Sevigny, Lily MacInery, and Claes Bang, known to Russian audiences for his role as Pontius Pilate in the film "Master and Margarita").
