To compile the list of hieroglyphs with similar forms, basic textbooks used for teaching children in elementary and secondary schools in China were analyzed. The publication contains a general list of hieroglyphs with similar forms, an analysis of the most common hieroglyphs from the list, comprehensive exercises, and variations of tests and assessments. Hieroglyphs with similar forms are one of the reasons for errors when reading or writing hieroglyphs. This textbook can become a good aid in developing hieroglyphic competence for those studying Chinese as a foreign language.
