Legends of Russian Capitals. From Old Ladoga to Moscow

How many capitals has Russia had? Two - you might say - and you would be greatly mistaken! In the new book by writer and historian Evgeny Lukin, author of "Legends of Ancient Cities of Russia", stories are collected about six cities that at different times served as the capitals of our state - from the beginnings of Russian lands to modern Russia; Old Ladoga, Novgorod, Kiev, Vladimir, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. Each of them is associated with a large number of myths and tales, many of which are completely unfamiliar not only to the younger generation but also to adult readers.
