The Newbie

Seventh grader Jordan Banks loves nothing more in the world than to draw comics about his life. But instead of sending their son to art school, as he dreams, his parents enroll Jordan in the prestigious Riverdale Academy, where he finds himself one of the few non-white kids in the entire class. Every day, Jordan is torn between two worlds and does not fit into either of them. Will he be able to learn how to navigate the new school culture while keeping the childhood friends who live next door and staying true to himself?
