A Hundred Ways to Escape

Decent, respectable people live by the rules because that's how their mothers and grandmothers lived, that's how it's accepted, that's how it's supposed to be, and it's easier – after all, in the rules of decent people everything is predetermined, there's no need to make any decisions, you can build your life on the tracks laid down by generations and not look around.

But what if one day you stray from the route and take just one step aside? What if the rules turn out to be a useless cage, a set of imagined fears that never gave you a single chance at happiness, and you suddenly realize that you've spent your whole life locked up when you had at least a hundred ways to escape?
