100 Great Disappearances

Our history – both ancient, medieval, and modern – is full of unresolved mysteries and enigmas. Among them are the disappearances of civilizations, cultures, cities, and lands that once existed and vanished without a trace. Scientists still debate where and when the Atlanteans, Hyperboreans, Khazars, and inhabitants of Lemuria and El Dorado lived on Earth. Where did the Amazons, Garamantes, and the tribes of Israel go? The vanished expeditions, which dissolved at different times in the expanse of the World Ocean, in the sands, jungles, and mountains of the planet, are no less mysterious: the fleet of Nearkhos, the ships of La Pérouse and Franklin, Russian polar explorers, and the eternally vanished Fawcett... Desperate seekers are still looking for treasures taken from Moscow by Napoleon's army, the caches of Mazepa, Pugachev, Razin, Makhno, Kolchak, Mussolini, and Rommel... Not to mention the mystical disappearances of entire trains and military units, the mysteries of which still unsettle researchers. The most famous mysterious disappearances at various stages of our history are the theme of the new book in the series "100 Great".
