The book deeply explores the theme of the fall into sin and its consequences from the perspective of human psychology – from Adam to each of us. The author examines in detail what sin is, its nature, essence, causes, the... psychology of sin, and original sin as the foundation of sinfulness, as well as the consequences of the fall, stages of the development of passions, and the psychology of struggle against sin.
This research initiated the initiative of Archpriest Georgy Breyev in forming a modern school of Orthodox psychology: “Only with a clear understanding of the essence of sin can one build the edifice of psychology, that is, the doctrine of sin in its active life manifestation.”
