Within the confines of New Ararat (the New-Ararat Monastery located in the far north of the province, on the island of Canaan of the Blue Lake), a certain ghostly Black Monk terrorizes and even kills people — one or another monk from the New-Ararat Monastery sees the shadow of Saint Vasilius, who once founded the Skete of Vasilius on the coastal island of Okolnyem. The brotherhood turns to Lord Mitrophan, asking him to take some action.
