The Stop of the Rooks on the Way South

The life of most city dwellers in Ural's Bazhenovo is tied to the nuclear power plant around which the city is built. Energy workers dedicate themselves to their beloved profession, sometimes leaving aside everything that makes a person whole: dreams,... aspirations, family. And although not everyone gets to play the leading role in their own life, fate sometimes gives a chance to rewrite an unsuccessful script. It’s just that not everyone is capable of taking advantage of it.
The collection “The Stop of the Rooks on the Way South” completes the duology that began with the book “Distant Log. Ural Stories,” but these stories about solitude and experiencing grief, the cost of passionate professionalism, and family values can be read separately.
