The Color of Envy

The eighties. The family of the chief engineer of the defense factory, Igor Selivanov, is brutally murdered. The owner and his wife are stunned with a heavy object and finished off with a knife, while their eight-year-old son receives a blow to the head with a hammer but survives. The case is assigned to prosecutor Valery Denisov. Together with the operatives, he manages to establish that the attackers did not take anything valuable from the apartment, except… a hunting rifle. The detectives do not rule out that in the hands of the bandits it may become a tool for a new crime.
