The Thimblerig Game

In a parking lot near the Istra Reservoir, a minibus is found. Its passengers are immobilized. Five of them are dead. The examination established that the cause of their death was poisoning from gas, deliberately released into the cabin. Police colonels Gurov and Kriatchko discover that all the victims – a writer, a poet, a musician, an artist, and a sculptor – were part of a group that came for a specially organized creative meeting. Moreover, one of the deceased was listed as its direct organizer. Realizing that this incident cannot be called an accident, the detectives study the biography of each of the victims.
