About the game
"Arkham Horror: The Card Game" is a cooperative Living Card Game set in the mythos of Lovecraft, in which 1-2 investigators (and with the second set – 3-4) will jointly explore the world of occultism, ancient gods, and secrets, while also struggling with inner demons from their past.
Each player takes on the role of one of the investigators and builds their own deck based on their character's abilities. The gameplay is based on interconnected scenarios that set the pace of the game and create a narrative. The games in this setting are incredibly atmospheric! The set of scenarios turns into a campaign. In each scenario, investigators find themselves in various locations and explore them in search of clues needed to advance the investigation and uncover secrets.
During the game, investigators encounter enemies and curses, trying to overcome all hardships and defeat the enemies of the Mythos. Throughout the campaign, each investigator gains experience, allowing the player to improve abilities and gain new opportunities by adding stronger cards to their deck.
The further and deeper you delve into the unknown, the closer your madness becomes! Players must keep an eye on their investigators' sanity, protect them from horrors and monsters they encounter along the way, and uncover the mystery of Arkham!
 
How to play?
Players control the actions of characters through their investigator deck. Scenarios lead campaigns, offering interesting adventures.
Each round begins with the Myth phase. In this phase, a terror token is placed on the agenda card, and each player draws a card from the contact deck. If there is a curse on the game card, a check of the skill indicated on the curse is made, and if you fail, a negative effect is triggered. If there is a monster on the card, it is assigned to the investigator, and they will either have to fight it or try to slip away.
Then comes the Investigation phase, where players take 3 actions from the available ones in any order:
- Draw a card
- Gain resources
- Activate an action from a previously played card
- Summon a monster to themselves
- Attempt to evade a monster
- Attack a monster
- Attempt to gather clues
- Move to another location
- Play a card from hand for resources
After players' turns, the Monsters phase occurs. There are many different opponents; some enemies move towards the heroes, while those that have already approached attack, automatically inflicting horror and wounds on the investigators.
At the end of the round, there is a Respite phase, during which all players draw a card and gain one resource.
 
Who won?
Since the game is team-based, all players win or lose together. Players progress through the scenario and reach the conclusion. Some of them are more favorable and can be considered a victory. Others leave the investigators in difficult and dangerous positions. Specific moments and consequences are directly related to the specific scenario.
