Eduard Kocherhin has been the permanent chief artist of the G. A. Tovstonogov Bolshoi Dramatic Theater since 1971. Recently, he is also known as a writer. His first book "Angel's Doll" (2003) immediately became a sensation in literary life and was awarded the Tsarskoye Selo Art Prize. In 2010, Kocherhin received the prestigious literary award "National Bestseller" (for the book "Baptized with Crosses"), in 2011 - the Sergei Dovlatov Literary Prize "For Achievements in Modern Domestic Prose", and in 2014 - the new literary prize "Theatrical Novel" (for the book "Notes of a Tablet Rat").
