David Herbert Lawrence is one of the most famous English writers of the early 20th century, the author of works such as "Women in Love," "Sons and Lovers," and many others. Immediately after its publication in 1928, the book was banned, and the printed copies were seized and destroyed. Only in 1960, after a sensational trial that shook all of England, was the novel rehabilitated and returned to the shelves of bookstores.
