Abierny, Audulfs, and Arnvids — three strongest of the First blood, descended from the giant beasts and created by the god Seim to influence the world of humans. But the Ancient god did not anticipate that primordial rage would seize... their minds and they would become dangerous to the natural balance. Then Seim chose worthy humans and endowed them with the gift of taming the First blood at the cost of their own lives. And he named them Vegards — the guardians of the Earth. An endless chain of sacrifices and rebirths shackled them for many centuries. Until under the chilling northern wind the paths of the First Abiern and the last Vegard converged. They renounced their destiny and wished to save each other's lives, breaking the bloody chains. But can one mutilated soul withstand the gods? For the ancient writings proclaim: “And as long as the descendants of the great Three bloods are born, in whose veins flows the blood of the First beasts, there will be no peace for the Vegards.
