The post-war Kazan is full of rumors: a brutal gang has appeared in the city. The accountant of the aviation factory, who was transporting the payroll, has been robbed and killed. The driver also perished with her. A robbery was committed at the savings bank, and all random witnesses were shot dead. There were also casualties during the robbery of a goods store. Major Vitaly Shchelkunov, head of the anti-banditry department, has a lead: all the victims were killed with the same Parabellum.
