Young Jane, having lost her parents early, ends up in the care of her domineering and selfish aunt. Due to her fiery temper and unwillingness to tolerate the unfair treatment she receives, Jane is sent to an orphanage. However, the girl's character cannot be broken by the harsh conditions or the strict teachers. Years pass, and Jane is now a young woman whose heart and soul long for change. Placing an advertisement in the local newspaper for work, Jane receives a response from Thornfield Hall.
