Becoming an award for the general of a foreign army, I expected violence and humiliation, but received only kindness and an illusion of freedom. In everyday life, General Shelter, nicknamed "Bloodied," turned out to be pleasant and kind, and my... heart could not resist: I fell in love with the conqueror. The fairy tale did not last long; the master and the slave see the happy future too differently. We said many bitter words to each other, and now Shelter is far away, the Magistrate is frozen in anticipation of a new war, and I need to find a way to save myself, for intrigues are woven around the general, someone threatens his life, and I seem to be about to get caught in the crossfire.
