The fighter Nikita Nefedov, who served on the Cordone in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, was ready to endure both the mockery of his comrades and the inappropriate living conditions for soldiers in the special battalion. However, a tragic incident that... happened to his friend changes everything: Nikita is forced to flee into the Zone, to desert. But life in the forbidden territory is not any sweeter, and its inhabitants are far more ruthless than the 'elders' and officers. Dangers lurk at every turn and come in many forms: radiation, bursts of anomalous energy, deadly traps, mutants… However, over time, one can adapt to this as well. But how can one cope with the endless war of factions, with the cunning, treachery, and betrayal of people? And is there a chance to remain human in the process?
