The book is the 22nd volume in a series dedicated to the White movement in Russia and examines the military actions of the White forces during the Great Siberian Ice March, one of the most tragic pages in the history...
of the Civil War in Siberia. Chronologically, the march spans the period from mid-November 1919 (the evacuation of Omsk) to mid-February 1920 (the execution of A.V. Kolchak and the arrival of the Whites in the Chita area). Later events are also covered: the expulsion of the Whites from Transbaikal by the autumn of 1920, the fates of the Orenburg, Ural, and Altai Cossacks, and events in Vladivostok. Among the authors of the volume are notable memoirists - Petrov, Sakharov, Meybom, Efimov. The book pays great attention to the history of the death of General V.O. Kappel.
The book is equipped with extensive and previously unpublished comments containing several hundred unknown biographical references about the authors and heroes of the essays.
