This book does not claim to provide a comprehensive exposition of all modern narcology. 

It is precisely an introduction, that is, a sufficiently brief overview of all the major sections of addiction science. 

At the same time, the team of authors, including specialists in various fields of narcology, has attempted to highlight all the most important achievements of modern addiction science, striving to strictly adhere to the paradigm of evidence-based (i.e., scientific) medicine.
