The Ninth Day

Adam is the captain of a boat that takes vacationers along the Danube — he had long been performing his job mechanically. He was tormented by a sense of guilt, as his wife had committed suicide. Another boat trip was... supposed to go as usual, if not for one of the passengers — a teenager named Sam — wanting to test the search device. He was the one who brought up an unusual box with mysterious symbols on the lid from the bottom. It turned out to be empty, but after that, the ordinary trip did not go as planned. It was time to return, but everything around had changed, even the captain could no longer recognize the area. The boat continued to move along the river, although all instruments and mechanisms had stopped working, and communication was lost. Then it started to get dark much too early…
