Dinka

The action of the story Dinka takes place in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century. The Arsenyev family spends the summer at their dacha near Samara. 

Eight-year-old Dinka is bored sitting all day with her sisters and aunt. 

Free-spirited and willful, she often secretly runs away to the banks of the Volga, where due to her difficult nature she constantly gets caught up in a whirlwind of events. 

During one of these escapades, the girl meets the orphanly Lenka, who works for a cruel master. 

Thus, Dinka gains a friend for life.
