The beginning of the alternative 2000s. In the heart of Russia, a conflict is boiling that is about to spill beyond the country’s borders: the official Tatarstan is breaking off relations with Moscow, observers from the UN and auxiliary NATO forces are taking positions. The parties are initiating a confrontation that involves strategic technologies, economic pressure, and manipulation of public opinion through the media. But there is another force, initially unnoticed. And it largely determines how this story will end.
"World" is the debut novel of twice laureate of the "Big Book" award Shamil Idiatullin. The book was first published in 2004.
