Based on archival materials, memoirs, and medical records, historian Rustam Alexander created a comprehensive picture of the sexual life in the USSR. All stories are united by a common plot about how the bans on abortion, the lack of enlightenment, and the imposition of hypocritical puritanism lead to an increase in ignorance, violence, and mortality.
