In Search of Lost Time. In Seven Volumes

His main work — the cycle of novels «In Search of Lost Time» — the French writer Marcel Proust (1871–1922) created over the course of fourteen years, until the very end of his life. 
In this monumental work, which is called both a novel-symphony, and a novel-cathedral, and a novel-river, the author managed to combine grandeur of construction with an unparalleled subtlety of view on the world, presenting a fundamentally new type of artistic reflection, which became one of the most significant discoveries in the art of the 20th century.
In this edition, «In Search of Lost Time» is published in the classical translation by M.N. Lyubimov, the last, seventh volume — in the translation by A.N. Smirnova. The structure of the work allows for different ways of reading: each of the books represents both a link in the chain of the entire narrative, and an autonomous creation.
