Russia. Given the interest in this topic and the lack of necessary sources, Bryantsov decided to write the history of the Lithuanian state himself. He worked on this composition for seven years: reviewed numerous sources and aids, selected only the most important and significant events from them, and combined them into a single overall picture of the history of the Lithuanian state.
