Vladimir Benediktovich Stankevich - a professional lawyer, politician, close to the circle of A.F. Kerensky, found himself in the army with a low rank of ensign during the First World War. However, this rank did not prevent him from taking... a high position during the days of the February Revolution - first he was elected to the Executive Committee of the Council of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies, and with Kerensky's appointment as Minister of War in the Provisional Government, he was appointed as the Commissioner of the Northern Front, and later the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters.
