Korean Folk Tales

In 1898, Russian engineer Nikolai Garin-Mikhailovsky went to Port Arthur. On the way, he visited Korea and Manchuria. It was there that he collected these tales – a treasury of Korean folklore that has come down to us today. The tales will introduce you to the king of beasts, the wise tiger, cunning monks, and resourceful heroes who always manage to get out of trouble. This unique collection will familiarize us with the culture of the Ancient East, its beliefs, rituals, and customs.
