The Origins of World War II

The first edition in Russian of the classic work by the famous British historian A. J. P. Taylor, which is an extensive study of the international politics that led to the bloodiest conflict of the 20th century.
After its publication in... 1961, the book sparked heated debates — especially the thesis that the German leader was an opportunist without a meticulously developed plan. Taylor's years of research helped change the long-held belief that the leader of the Third Reich wanted a great war and planned it in detail. Taylor conveys in an accessible and convincing manner the diplomatic mistakes of both the Anti-Hitler Coalition and the Axis powers that led to the outbreak of World War II.
