Charisma. How to Influence, Persuade and Inspire

In Greek, charisma means "gift of the gods." Many believe it is an innate quality and perceive a charismatic person almost as a superhuman. The author of this book, a coaching consultant and invited lecturer at Stanford, Yale, and Harvard... universities, argues against the common opinion and, moreover, seeks to prove that charisma is a set of social skills that can be developed through techniques and exercises. In her view, anyone can become a charismatic person, of course, if they wish and put in the effort. The author believes that if charisma were an innate quality, people would constantly charm and inspire those around them throughout their lives. But this is not the case — it is enough to compare recordings of Steve Jobs' early speeches with his later addresses to the public.
