MYTHS. The Magnificent MYTH

ROBERT ASPRIN (1946—2008) became famous for his fantasy humorous series "MYTHs," and the very first novel, "Another Fine Myth," was so successful that publishers signed him for a 6-book contract, which was later extended for the same number again. After 12 "classic" Asprin novels, the series was continued by Jody Lynn Nye. Among other well-known works of the author is the series "The Fool's Guild" about the adventures of brave space mercenaries, as well as meticulous editing of the multi-volume series "The World of Thieves," which brought together dozens of writers, from recognized masters of the genre to debutants, creating an exciting universe inhabited by adventurers and robbers. Young apprentice mage Skive from planet Pent was unfortunate — his mentor dies in an attempt to summon a monster, binding it with a pentagram. However… the monster turned out to be not so scary and even volunteered to become Skive's new teacher! But the agreement between the young simpleton and the demonically cunning creature will plunge Skive into troubles he could never have imagined.
