Speaking Czech. A Speech Development Guide

This educational manual is intended for Russian-speaking students and enthusiasts of the Czech language at an advanced stage of learning. Thematically, it is divided into 12 lessons - thematic cycles reflecting the most active part of the Czech vocabulary used... in verbal communication. Each cycle is built on a unified structure: initially, lively communicative texts are provided, followed by a set of commonly used Czech conversational words and expressions with Russian equivalents that are included in these dialogues, and after that, exercises for passive and active mastery of the corresponding selected linguistic material. Many idioms are explained etymologically with a special emphasis on cultural information. At the end of the book, there is a sufficiently complete Czech-Russian dictionary.
