Subjects of Madness

During their time working at the hospital in the city of Nanning, psychiatrists Chen Putian and Yang Ke encountered a variety of mental illnesses. Over time, they learned to investigate cases of madness better and faster than the police —... murders and robberies. But they had never come across such a strange and frightening case… 
A woman had been coming to the police for two months, claiming that each time she was killed by a man in a mask, but then she resurrected, and this repeated day after day. The police, naturally, decided that she had gone mad and did not take her words seriously.
Outraged by the police's inaction, the woman stated that she would catch the criminal herself. The next time, she brought a portrait of the murderer, which she had drawn… of herself. The police checked the name in their database — and it turned out that she had been reported missing for more than six months. Then they called the psychiatric clinic and invited Chen Putian to come and help sort things out…
After some time, the doctor discovered a message on the door of his office, made with blood. It read: 'Chen Putian, I won't leave you alone even in the next life!'
