Why do we trust people? Some — because we know them well. Others — because we don't know them at all. 
Vera Kholodova trusted her partner Sergey Kuznetsov infinitely! And how did he repay her? The couple lived soul to soul.... Sergey gave gifts, bought a puppy and a kitten, promised Vera a real wedding. And recently, returning from work, Vera discovers suitcases with her belongings outside the house. Nearby, a kitten and a puppy are tied to a bench, along with a note that says: "I will be back! I swear! But for now, go back to your place..." 
Kholodova turns to the special squads office with a request to locate her beloved. Tatiana Sergeeva and Dimon Korobkov begin the investigation. The detectives learn that the man often changed his phone numbers and was not always honest with Vera. He was probably not who he claimed to be at all. But during the investigation, it turns out that Sergey is not the first "missing" man in Kholodova's life, and the matter could be much more serious than it seems at first glance.
