Snow

1957, Ireland. Detective Inspector Straford is called from Dublin to investigate a murder at Ballyglas House — a secluded estate of the Osborns, representatives of the local aristocracy. The case is complicated and fraught with scandal, as the victim is... a parish priest. The weather worsens, the roads are covered with snow, and the head of the family tries to convince the police that an unknown robber is to blame, although there are no signs of a break-in. Straford, a melancholic and perceptive descendant of a noble family, wants to find the murderer at all costs, but everyone around seems to be hiding something and is determined to keep their secrets. Gradually, the classic English detective story takes on increasingly sinister shades, and the inspector realizes that he is facing real evil.
