In the family board game "The Next Station: London", you will become designers who need to optimize the lines... of the English subway. Place stations near attractions, make convenient transfers, and most importantly – don't forget to consider the requirements put forth by the city. The competition is high, so try to design the tunnels under the Thames in the best possible way to showcase your professional level!How to play?
The game lasts four rounds, during which you will design four subway lines on your map of London. There are 4 pencils in the game: blue, red, purple, and green. At the beginning, you randomly receive one of them, and its color will determine the station from which you will start your project. All stations on the London map are marked with one of four symbols: square, circle, triangle, or pentagon. Do you remember that the city has its own requirements for this project? The inspector of the current round flips the top card from the station deck. The symbol on it indicates which station you must connect with a section of the subway line (starting from your starting station). Then, another card is flipped, and another, and so on until the fifth card with a pink-yellow background is turned over. Count the points that your completed subway line has brought you, record them, and swap pencils: give yours to the neighbor on your left and take the new one from the neighbor on your right. In the next round, you will design a new line!There are special stations on the map located near the attractions of the city. Try to lead the subway to them, as they will bring more victory points. Also, try to create transfer stations: the more lines connected at one point, the more valuable it becomes. And don't forget to follow the construction rules! A line of one color cannot cross itself and cannot form a loop.Who won?
At the end of the fourth round, you will have a plan of the London subway with lines of four colors. Each of them will have given you victory points depending on the number of districts it has passed through, the number of stations in one district, and the number of times it has gone under the Thames. Add up these points, add points for the number of attractions and transfer stations. The one who scores the most is declared the winner! Game duration: from 25 minutesNumber of players: from 1 to 4
