Erythemas. A Guide for Physicians

The guide for physicians presents the modern classification, epidemiology, pathogenesis of erythemas, clinical features, and differential diagnosis. Practical recommendations for the treatment with systemic and topical agents are provided, and methods for the prevention of erythemas are addressed. The main goal of the guide is to enhance the knowledge of physicians on this issue. The guide is based on the analysis and systematization of literature data and the results of the authors' many years of own research. Search engines of the internet such as Google Scholar, Cyberleninka, eLibrary, Sigla, and PubMed were used for the selection of literature. In the context of the reform of domestic healthcare, which includes mandatory adherence to patient management standards, physicians often encounter rare variants of erythema in patients, whose examination and treatment do not fit into standard schemes. The expert opinion of specialists is an important document for both the physician and the controlling bodies. The guide is intended for dermatovenerologists, cosmetologists, general practitioners, pediatricians, infectious disease specialists, immunologists, and other related specialties, as well as for residents, graduate students, and medical students in the Russian Federation. This guide can also be used as training material in general advanced training and professional retraining courses for physicians.
