Lotti's Secret, or The Girl Who Doesn't Exist

Contrary to popular belief, people do not die alone: their immortal souls are accompanied to the better world by guides, emotionless and disciplined beings. But what if one of the guides one day fails to do their job? Lotti has known since childhood about the consequences of such a transgression: she senses a strange smell emanating from people who are destined to die. Six years later, the very same guide reappears at Lotti's doorstep, and the girl is forced to remember the day of her failed death. For this will determine her future life.
