Casper - the friendly ghost

Casper was created by illustrators Seymour Reit and Joe Oriolo in the 1940s for a collection of children's stories.

But the book was never published, and in 1945, the friendly ghost was acquired by Paramount Pictures, which created several cartoons about him.

The story of the quiet rebel who did not want to live by the laws of the ghostly world and scare the living quickly gained popularity.

And when Casper came under the wing of Harvey Entertainment, the series released more than twenty titles, all somehow related to the cute ghost.

This anthology includes stories from the Casper the Friendly Ghost magazine published by Harvey Comics and St. John Publishing in the 1950s.
