This volume includes the most important philosophical writings of the Irish philosopher George Berkeley (1685–1753), famous for the doctrine of immaterialism: "An Essay Towards a New Theory of Vision", "A Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge",
"Three Dialogues between Hylas and Philonous", "On Motion" and "Alciphron, or the Minute Philosopher". The first three works have been rechecked against the English text and provided with new commentaries.
