Who is Mod Dixon?

Florence Darrow firmly believes that she will become a well-known writer.
After being fired from a publishing house for an affair with a married boss and attempting to blackmail him with the novel, fate grants her a job as a personal assistant to a world-famous young writer who lives as a recluse and hides under the pseudonym Mod Dixon.
During a trip to Morocco, Florence loses control and their car falls off a bridge into a river. She ends up in the hospital with amnesia, while her employer disappears without a trace. Everyone convinces Florence that she was alone in the car.
