Trial by Fire

The maze is passed, but Thomas, Teresa, Minho, and the other Gladers cannot relax. The mysterious guidance of WICKED — a secret organization that has arranged survival races — assigns the guys new, deadly trials. This time they face a trek across a scorching desert and encounter the victims of an incurable disease, who are known for their wild temper and unpredictable behavior. As if that weren't enough, the Gladers find themselves ensnared in webs of betrayal. Who can you trust when your best friend suddenly starts to hate you?
