The Prince in Bombay

November, 1921. Edward VIII, Prince of Wales and future ruler of India, arrives in Bombay. The Indian subcontinent groans under British rule, and Pervin Mistry is not surprised when local unrest escalates into riots. But she is stunned by the death of Freni Cuttingmaster, an eighteen-year-old Parsi student who falls from the second-floor gallery just as the prince's grand procession passes her college. When Freni's death is ruled a murder, Pervin decides that she will not rest until she achieves justice. But Bombay is boiling: armed agents of British services march through the streets, rioters attack anyone with even a hint of a connection to the British, and desperate shop owners destroy their goods to avoid becoming targets of racial hatred. Can Pervin help the suffering family when her own is in danger?
