I grew up in the snowy Northern Kingdom, in the harsh castle of Riverstein. In a shelter for orphan girls. I do not know who I am or how I ended up at the walls of this terrifying fortress, surrounded by ancient pines. I am to become a novice of the Order, and after my initiation — its enlightener... But all my life is just an illusion. And one day I heard the Call. The curse of our world, the Call that entices me to the Black Lands. But is the world as the mentors say? And are the legends about demons and wizards really so false? And most importantly — what terrible secret does the grim bulk of Riverstein hide?
