Indian Fairy Tales

The collection includes twenty-two folk Indian tales, gathered from various sources by children's writer and translator Olga Mikhailovna Korzhinskaya (1860-1930). The edition is preceded by a foreword by the Orientalist academic Sergey Fyodorovich Oldenburg (1863-1934). The tales are illustrated with drawings by the English artist John Dickson Batten (1860-1932) and the domestic watercolorist Nikolai Nikolayevich Karazin (1842-1908).
