The Beauty of Forms in Nature. Album of Antique Illustrations

Professor of Natural Science Ernst Haeckel (1834—1919) left a significant mark in the history of art with his book "The Beauty of Forms in Nature." His work contained the first systematic description of organisms, as well as 100 lithographic plates executed by Adolf Gilch based on the author’s sketches and drawings. These illustrations became a recognized masterpiece of graphic art, served as a model for many designers and architects of the Art Nouveau era, and continue to inspire artists around the world.

The publication is intended for artists and art lovers. Tear-out sheets with reproductions can be used as a decorative element in interior design; they are complemented by a block of outline copies for coloring.
